On September 9, 2015, the U.S. Postal Service will reissue the special Neon Celebrate! stamp in Kansas City, MO, with nationwide availability from the same date. Originally launched in 2011, this vibrant design—the first U.S. stamp created using neon art—features the word “Celebrate!” in a dynamic style reminiscent of a fireworks display, complete with brilliantly colored swirls, circles, and dashes that appear to burst upward, illuminating the darkness. The stamp, which includes “Forever/USA” at the bottom, was created by neon artist Michael Flechtner under the art direction of Phil Jordan. It will be issued as a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) pane of 20 stamps.
